Summer is here!  That usually means two things:  Your kids will be bored and hungry all day. Here are some fun snacks you can try out this summer.

The kids are home for the summer, yay!  If you are a working mom like me, then it can be easy to feed them junk, but you don't have to. Working mom or not, these recipes are so simple, they will make your summer a lot easier.

If there is one thing I've learned, kids are always hungry! They are growing so it is important to feed them good, healthy foods. These recipes are simple and your kids can help prepare them. Enjoy!

1. Fruit/Veggies

Fruit is always a go-to snack for us. But if your kids are small, they will still need help peeling or cutting or whatever. So what you do is get some snack-sized baggies or small containers and pre-wash and cut several fruits and veggies up. Then when the kids want a snack, they can go get it themselves.

2. Turkey/Pretzel Roll Ups

Get some jumbo pretzel sticks and deli sliced turkey breasts and mayo or mustard. Get a slice of turkey and spread it with the mayo or mustard and then wrap around the pretzel.  Simple, easy and the kids will love it. You can also prepare these ahead of time and they can just grab and go!

3. Biscuit Pizza

This is so fun! Get some cans of refrigerated biscuits, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and different pizza toppings. Have your kids help. Get the biscuits and press them down into about 4-inch circles. Then have them spread some sauce, cheese and topping onto it.  Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 for about 10-15 minutes or until the dough is cooked.

4. Pigs in a Blanket

You can use Little Smokies or hot dogs and a can of crescent rolls.  Roll out your crescent dough and put your little sausage in and roll it over.  Bake until the crescent is golden brown. Kids love mini food!

5. Ham and Cheese Muffins

Ham and cheese sandwiches get boring, so how about ham and cheese muffins? You can use store-bought biscuits, about 1 1/2 cups ham cut into pieces and 8 oz shredded cheese. Press the biscuits into the bottom of a muffin pan. Mix the other ingredients together with two eggs. Pour it into the biscuits and bake for about 20-22 minutes at 350 degrees.

These are just a few recipes that will help you feed the kids this summer.  What is your go-to snack?
