Accident Sends Two to ER After Collision on Lloyd Ruby Overpass

Multiple police and fire units were dispatched to the Lloyd Ruby Overpass at about 6:24pm last night.  Witnesses told police an 18 wheeler was changing lanes when it struck a passenger car.  The car was ultimately pinned under the rigs trailer for about 45 minutes.  Two women were trapped in the car.  Both driver and passenger of the car were taken to United Regional.  Their injuries were determined not to be life threatening.  The names of those involved have not been released.
