Today we honor those who have served and those who's lives were lost while in service.  Our nation has endured much in the way of war and continues to do so to this day.  Though many of us go through our days unaffected, thousands of families have watched their loved ones take up the task of defending us on some level, somewhere.  WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and beyond; we owe a debt of gratitude to others who have fought to ensure we have the rights we take for granted every single day.  In 1970, John Wayne put his feelings about America on tape with the help of a friend, fellow actor, producer and poet John Mitchum.  Below is a YouTube video that puts one of the cuts from that album, America, Why I Love Her, to images honoring our nations military.
