Accident Sends One to Hospital

An accident on Jacksboro Highway sent one individual to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Officers and Accident Investigators responded to an injury accident call at the intersection of Jacksboro Hwy and Galveston. A Blue Buick LaSabre was traveling east on Galveston. A Red Dodge Durango, was traveling north on Jacksboro Hwy. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Investigators say the Durango had a red light. The driver of the Le Sabre was pinned in for a time and later transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The name and condition of the injured driver are not being released at this time. No injuries were reported from the Durango. Both vehicles were impounded pending investigation.
