Ash and Coconut – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
We don’t usually hear the sound of barking in our house. We have cats, but a friend brought her dog over this week. The dog is smaller than our smallest cat, so it was interesting to see our usually sociable cats hiding in the corner in confusion. After a short while they all seemed to get along and life returned to normal. Dogs are pretty easy to please and a little bit of attention goes a long way. Some pets don’t have these experiences because they don’t have a home, and that’s where you can help.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Ash is a small, young, male tabby cat. He’s just over a year old so he knows how to behave, yet he loves to play. He’s just as content with a paper grocery bag as he is with a squeaky mouse, just sit back and watch him have fun! He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Ash knows the value of a good scratch behind the ears and a warm lap to hang out in, and he’d love to meet you! Make plans to swing by!
Coconut is a small, young, female Pit Bull Terrier mix. At just under a year old, this puppy has a lot of spunk and loves her playtime. She also likes taking walks, playing with other pets, and naps like a champ when it’s nap time. She’s spayed, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Coconut is a pretty easy going pup and gets along well with other pets, so she may be a perfect fit for your family! Come by to meet her to find out!
