Authorities Looking For Kidnapped Child

Authorities in Crosbyton, just east of Lubbock, have issued an Amber Alert for 2 year old Leah Marie Aguierre.  According to authorities, the child went missing on January 3 when a man identified only as Miguel entered a Crosbyton home claiming to be a Child Protective Services employee.  The man took the child and left in a red Ford Focus.  According to Crosbyton authorities, the man was not an employee of CPS.

There are media reports that the Crosby County Sheriff's office is investigating a claim that the child's mother may have been trying to sell the child to someone in Mexico.  The child is described as a Hispanic female, with brown hair and brown eyes.  "Miguel" is described as a Hispanic male, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The suspect was last heard from in Crosbyton, TX. Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger. If you have any information regarding this abduction, call the Crosbyton Police Department at (806) 368-1926.
