Halloween is right around the corner and the annual tradition is to carve those beautiful pumpkins. Here is a list of our favorite pumpkin patches in the Wichita Falls area.

Smith's Gardentown

Smith's Gardentown always has a huge selection of pumpkins and fun activities every year, and this year they've added even more. They are located at 4940 Seymour Hwy and are open M-F 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Saturdays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sundays 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. They have pony rides, pumpkin carriage rides, bounce houses, petting zoo, horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin painting, play area, and of course, thousands of pumpkins!

Admission is free every day and there is a nominal charge for some attractions.

Reservations for school field trips, daycares and private groups are available M-F 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Contact Ben Wuthrich at 940-224-8854.

BONUS: Free Pumpkins at Wal-Mart

Now if you just can't bring yourself to spend the money on a pumpkin, and have young kids that don't even know what day Halloween is, you can go to Wal-Mart the day after Halloween. They will have pumpkins outside for you to take home for FREE. This way you can still celebrate carving a pumpkin with your kids at no price
