WFPD Patrol Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 1514 15th St. on 02-22-15 at approximately 20:30 hours.

The home owner had detected an odor of cigarette smoke inside his residence and found a broken window in the back of the house.  He searched his house and found a subject hiding in one of the closets. The home owner detained the subject at gun point and called the police.

Officers arrived and took the subject, 34 year old Rodney Ortiz (age 34), into custody.  Ortiz was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and transported to jail.
