5 of the Best Confrontations in NASCAR History

On Sunday at Talladega, defending NASCAR Sprint Cup champ Tony Stewart set off a 25-car wreck, which somehow Matt Kenseth avoided, allowing him to come away with the win under caution. Fortunately this huge pile-up didn't lead to any infield confrontations, but quite often they do.

Pee Wee Football Coach Accused of Paying Players to Injure Opponents

Kids wanting to be just like their athletic heroes is nothing new, but a Pop Warner football coach emulating the New Orleans Saints' "Bountygate" program, where players were paid extra to injure members of the other team? That's a twist. A very upsetting twist, if you ask the parents of the 10- and 11-year-olds who got the short end of this deal.

Reports made earlier last week allege that Darren Crawford, head coach of the Tustin Pee Wee Red Cobras, offered his players cash bonuses up to $50 for the "hit of the game," sometimes awarding even more if the opposing team's best player was hit so hard he had to leave the game.

Did Tom Brady Just Curse at the NFL Officials?

New England Patriots' star quarterback Tom Brady is often seen as the consummate professional, complete with Most Valuable Player awards, Super Bowl rings and a series of conquests that make George Clooney jealous. However, after officials reviewed his 4-yard, game-tying touchdown run late in the third quarter of the Patriots' 52-28 rout of the Buffalo Bills Sunday, Brady may have turned into the league's Most Vulgar Player.

Cross-Country Runner Stops Mid-Race to Save Collapsed Rival’s Life

Sometimes the real winner in a race is the one who realizes victory isn't everything, which is just what happened earlier this week at a high school cross-country meet in Tennessee

Seventeen-year-old Seth Goldstein, a senior at  Cooper Yeshiva High School, was rounding his second turn in the race when one of his opponents collapsed in front of him from a heat-induced seizure. That's when Goldstein snapped into action.

Did the Replacement Refs Really Do That Bad a Job? [POLL]

Our (three-week-) long national nightmare is over: the real referees are back. Late Wednesday night, the league and the union reached an agreement, and it looks like NFL fans can go back to yelling at an entirely different group of men in striped shirts for making decisions they disagree with. Yay!
