What makes cell phones so great — and so terrible — is that you can take them just about anywhere — even the bathroom.

According to a survey of 1,000 adults by marketing agency 11mark, 75 percent of Americans have admitted to having combined a mobile phone conversation with their restroom business.

In fact, about 25 percent of the poll’s respondents agreed with the statement that they never go to bathroom without their cell phone. This sort of multitasking — which seems like it could be some sort of etiquette violation — is particularly popular among younger Americans, 91 percent of whom have used a mobile phone in the bathroom before.
