City Offices Closed-Bus Service Cancelled

Wichita Falls City Manager Darron Leiker has called for the closure of City offices for non-essential employees for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 1, 2011. All other emergency and essential employees are to report to work as scheduled. City public transportation (bus service) has also been cancelled for Tuesday.
City staff would like to again encourage the public to do a simple thing that will ensure their safety and the safety of City employees who respond to emergency situations, STAY HOME. The hazardous conditions facing the City at this time should be taken very seriously by the public. Staying off City streets can prevent accidents and reduce additional calls for service by emergency response personnel.
