Dallas Cowboys Are America’s Favorite Football Team — Survey of the Day
For the fifth year in row, the Dallas Cowboys really are America’s team.
Dallas was the top answer to a Harris poll of 2,462 American adults asking who their favorite football team is.
The Pittsburgh Steelers — the last team besides the Cowboys to get the highest percentage of responses in the annual poll– came in second place.
The Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and Chicago Bears rounded out the top five.
The biggest jump in popularity between 2010 and 2011 belonged to the Detroit Lions, who moved from 30th to 19th most popular. The Oakland Raiders saw the biggest decline by falling from 17th to 25th.
