I don’t know whether to laugh or to…laugh.  Political campaigns are never pretty.  Mud is thrown, accusations are made and no one really cares if your feelings get hurt.  After all, it’s just politics, right?

I can’t remember who said it, but a television commentator made the remark during a presidential debate years ago that, no matter what label they wear (democratic or republican) these guys will always have more in common with each other than they ever will with you or I.  And you know what-he was absolutely right.

The battle for Lieutenant Governor of Texas has probably never been more infused with ‘he lied about this’ and ‘they won’t do that’ rhetoric than the fight between incumbent David Dewhurst and Sen. Dan Patrick.  The Republican foes are going toe-to-toe with each other daily as the slugfest to run-off Election Day (May 27) draws closer.

This recent Dewhurst attack ad is a parody of 'Let It Go' that has Dan Patrick (aka Daniel Goeb) singing his way to a lost election.  Well, at least that's the hope of the Dewhurst camp.
