Additional Information

Region 9 Education Service Center will be presenting a Financial Aid Event for all area high school seniors and their parents on Thursday, February 28th from 5pm-9pm at Region 9 Education Service Center.

The North Texas Area United Way will assist parents of high school seniors in filing their taxes, so that the FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and the TASFA, Texas Application for State Financial Aid, can be submitted. Representatives from Region 9 Education Center, the Wichita Falls Public Library and Zavala Hispanic Initiative, as well as Gonzalo Robles-Educational Consultant with Café con Leche, and Midwestern State University’s Bilingual Education students, will be on hand to assist. Parents are asked to bring 2012 tax forms, if completed or W-2 forms, social security number, plus picture ID. If students already have PIN numbers for the FAFSA, they are asked to bring those as well.

Seniors from all area high schools are welcome to attend. Refreshments and childcare will be provided. If you have questions, please call Kathy Harvey at 322-6928 ext. 8217, or Kathy Vossler at 767-0868 ext. 245.
