Former Wichita Falls residents Spencer Blake and his wife Whitney's humorous take on their struggles with infertility has gone viral and gained international attention.

Spencer was a reporter with KAUZ in Wichita Falls from 2009 to mid-2011 and is now an anchor/reporter for KIVI-TV in Boise, Idaho. Spencer and Whitney have been married for 6 years and run a blog about their lives as adoptive parents called 'On an Adventure: a Girl and Her Boys.'

The Blakes had struggled for years with infertility and recently decided to turn their pain into humor by lampooning popular pregnancy announcement memes.

Spencer and Whitney also made sure people understood they weren't making fun of people, but looking for a bright way to deal with such a challenging situation,

We are the happy parents of two little boys who joined our family through the miracle of adoption after we had struggled for several years with infertility. Though the infertility is still there, the struggle is mostly not. What used to be such a consuming, challenging part of our life is now usually more of a passing thought. We are so grateful to be parents, but we have not forgotten how lonely and horrible infertility can feel, which is why we thought we’d create something to connect with others who are going through what we went through.

The Blakes' series of six infertility announcements picked up the attention of major news shows and sites like The Today Show, People Magazine, The Mirror and Good Morning America.
