High School Quarterback Forgets Football Rules, Cost Team The Game [VIDEO]
You have to feel sorry for the quarterback for Spanish Fork High School in Utah. Hs team was playing another Spanish Fork, Utah school in the Class 4A state play-in game. With 4 seconds left, he only had to run down the clock and they would beat Maple Mountain and be in the playoffs!
Obviously, he made a mistake and when the clock ran out he forgot that football time-keeping is not the same as basketball. The play still goes until the ball is dead. His mistake led to a touchdown by the other team, and no advancing to the playoffs.
Poor kid. He'll be hearing jokes about how he cost the big game for the rest of his life.
