The Wichita County Sheriff's Office has the male suspect in custody.  He was found hiding in an abandoned trailer on Parker Ranch Road.  Sources say the suspect also has a warrant for his arrest in Florida.  News Talk 1290 will bring you more details when available.

A high speed chase across Montague, Clay and Wichita Counties ended at the intersection of FM 369 and U.S. 82 west.  DPS officials tell News Talk 1290 that officers took a female suspect into custody.  She was reportedly the passenger in the vehicle. The male driver, a murder suspect from Florida, fled on foot and a manhunt was underway as of 6 am.

The chase began on US 287 in Clay County when a Clay County deputy attempted to stop the car.  Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemmons says his deputies took up the chase near Henrietta.  The chase continued through Wichita Falls and ended when the driver attempted to crash through a locked gate to a field.  Officers quickly apprehended the female passenger.

Sheriff Lemmons says officers and dogs from the James V. Allred prison unit have joined the search.  Residents are advised to be alert to their surroundings this morning has the search for the suspect continues.
