Inmate Escapes From Jefferson County Detention Center in Waurika [UPDATED]
An inmate at the Jefferson County Detention Center in Waurika, Oklahoma has escaped.
The escaped inmate is 25-year-old Joshua Nelson – white male, brown hair, blue eyes, 5′ 8″ tall and 176 lbs. Nelson escaped from the detention center early Friday morning (Oct 4).
Nelson also has an upside down cross tattoo and pentagram on his back. Tattoos on his arms include skulls (left arm), cross, stars, zombie and crickets.
Nelson was convicted of second-degree burglary in 2012, and he’s serving a six-year sentence in jail.
He was last seen traveling in an unknown direction.
UPDATE 10/5/2013: Just over 24 hours after his escape, county Sheriff Deputies in Purcell caught Joshua Nelson about 100 miles away from Jefferson County on Saturday.
Exactly how the inmate escaped custody is still unknown.
