Those of us who lived in Wichita Falls, TX on April 10, 1979 still remember the devastation of that day.  By 6:30 that evening, a quarter of our residents were homeless, more than three dozen were dead and the south side of our city look like it had been hit by a bomb.   As awful as the devastation and loss of life was in Wichita Falls and other area towns on Terrible Tuesday, 1979, it seems the tornado that has ripped through Joplin, MO, was far worse.  Pray for these people.
