With Christmas just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to start up the pets of the week again.

Owning a pet is a very big responsibility and a big family decision. When you finally come to the decision that you want a pet for your family, where do you look? There are always pets at the Wichita Falls Humane Society that need a good and loving home. Some of these pets have been found, abandoned on the side of the road or just dropped off at the humane society because their owners couldn't take care of them anymore. Regardless of the reason, these pets deserve to have a family that love them and I hope that these weekly posts will save at least one animal and help make a family feel complete.

The pets of the week this week are: Joy and Gidget

Joy is a female, American Blue Heeler mix. She is a little over 7 months old and currently available for immediate adoption.

Gidget is a female, domestic short hair cat. She is 1 year old and has been spayed.

If you are interested in either of these pets or want to see what other pets the Humane Society has to offer, you can call (940) 855-4941, visit the Human Society at 4360 Iowa Park Rd., or visit the Wichita Falls Humane Societies website.
