After a couple of rocky years, the New Orleans Hornets now have something to be excited about.

They won Wednesday night’s NBA Draft lottery. It means they’ll have the first pick at the June 28 draft and will presumably take Kentucky standout Anthony Davis. The Hornets also hold the 10th pick. The franchise had been without an owner for some time, and the NBA was owning and operating it until Saints’ owner Tom Benson stepped up.

“I’m excited for our fans, especially those people who hung in there with us,” said coach Monty Williams.

The Hornets finished 21-45 last season. After the Hornets, the Charlotte Bobcats will draft in the second spot, followed by Washington and then Cleveland. Rounding out the lottery will be Sacramento, Portland, Golden State, Toronto, Detroit, Hornets again, Blazers again, Milwaukee, Phoenix, and Houston.
