North Texas Woman Imprisoned For Forcing Girl Into Sex Trade

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A woman from Saginaw, Texas has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for forcing a 15-year-old girl into prostitution and advertising her services online in a North Texas sex trafficking case.

A Friday statement from the U.S. attorney's office in Fort Worth says 22-year-old Brittanie S. Brattain has been sentenced for her guilty plea to a single count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a minor.

Her co-defendant, 27-year-old Deundrea R. Miller, pleaded guilty to the same charge and is to be sentenced Nov. 12.

Investigators say Miller, who's from Fort Worth, and Brattain met the victim last fall, took photos of her in her underwear and advertised her online. The girl was hired out as a prostitute for five months before she fled.
