A band of snow that moved across Texoma during the overnight hours has led to numerous minor accidents and seriously slick roads.

Two cars slid off the Wilson Overpass this morning, partially submerging the vehicles in a man-made pond at the Wichita Falls city limits.  No injuries were reported.

An accident led to a major traffic jam on I-44 north this morning.  As of 9:00am, traffic was again moving but I-44 remains slick and hazardous.   Again, no injuries reported.

Wichita Falls ISD officials did eventually decide to close schools, rather than delay.  Most other districts started on time or two hours late.

City trucks took to the streets at around 7 am.  According to Barry Levy, City of Wichita Falls Public Information Officer, fire and police have worked numerous accident calls in the city. Trash collection has been delayed by about and hour and a half as well.

Some icing of roads is possible tonight and tomorrow morning as melting snow refreezes tonight.  Temps are expected to plummet into the teens with wind chills tomorrow morning in the single digits.
