Just before 11pm last night Wichita Falls Police responded to a home on Collins Street to do a welfare check.  When officers arrived they found a man in the doorway of the home holding a handgun.  The subject slammed the door and refused to respond to officers outside.

SWAT entered the home at around 2 am and took a 60 year old male into custody.  It's not clear if anyone else was in the home at the time of the standoff.  Police have not yet released the man's name.  Sgt Joe Snyder, WFPD Public Information Officer, says the man may be charged with making a terroristic threat.  More information will be made available after charges have formally been filed.  No injuries have been reported.
