In ‘Titanic,’ Leonardo DiCaprio famously declared, “I’m king of the world!” And while it may not be quite as grand, two Vietnamese buyers are now kings — or at least owners — of the smallest town in the US after buying it this week for $900,000.

Nationwide, employment numbers seem to be picking up. But when you break it down by city, all things certainly aren’t equal — so which ones have the best and worst job markets?

It’s no secret that Americans love to eat. We invented the “super-sized” meal, the “Fourthmeal” and even the “food within a food on a stick.” This love of freedom to eat has come with a great price. The latest Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index shows that the fattest city in America, McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, Texas, spends up to $400 million a year in unnecessary health care costs.

Although most Americans generally like where they live, a new Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index revealed that while residents of some metro areas are highly optimistic about the direction their communities are taking, others are largely discouraged about theirs.

Ever wanted to be the ruler of your own town? Well, here’s your chance. The small (and we mean small) town of Buford, Wyoming, has a population of just one. And that one resident has now decided it’s time for him to move out and put the town up for sale. Don Sammons, who moved to Buford over 20 years ago, is auctioning the 10-acre town at a starting bid of $100,000.

A survey of more than 350,000 Americans for the new Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index has revealed the nation’s fattest and skinniest cities — and it also proves our country’s battle of the bulge is far from over.
