Teen Found Dead In Montague County

The Montague County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a teen.  Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a field off Miller Road in Montague County, just south of US 287 and west of FM 1125.

When deputies arrived they found the body of 18 year-old Nathan Maki inside a truck.  Maki, a native of Wisconsin, had been shot.  A rifle was recovered at the scene.  Deputies reportedly made an arrest at the scene on an unrelated charge.  The shooting remains under investigation and further details are expected from the Montague County District Attorney's Office within a day or two.

Maki was a senior at Guyer High School in Denton.
