In a survey that would make a flag fanatic like Sheldon Cooper drool, the Texas state flag was voted as the second best flag in the country.

Flag expert Ted Kaye paired up with the North American Vexillological Association, a group which studies the scientific and scholarly aspects of flags, to create an online survey open to the public asking users to rank their favorite state flags.  Below are the top five and bottom five state flags according to the survey.  (Note the commonality of the bottom five flags)
