Texas Woman Dies in Wreck While Chasing Estranged Husband

HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities say a woman has been killed in a head-on traffic accident in Houston as she chased her estranged husband and a woman who was with him.

Harris County officials say the driver of an oncoming SUV was injured in Thursday afternoon's accident.

Investigators believe the wife was trying to run her husband's vehicle off the road and bumped it, then her car went out of control and into oncoming traffic.

Her car collided with a Honda CRV. Officials say the wife died at the scene. The SUV driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The husband and the woman who was with him were not hurt.
