The Color Run made a splash in Wichita Falls this morning! Known as the “Happiest 5k on the Planet,” the run took participants through the streets of downtown Wichita Falls while being pelted with pink, orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue chalk. Some walked, some ran, and some did a mix of both, but everyone seemed to cross the finish line with smiles on their faces!

At the finish line festival you could see a color cloud (pictured above) every few minutes, and it was the party to be at with music, dancing, and giveaways.

This was my second time going through The Color Run; my last time doing it was in Dallas back in April. Both times proved to be the most fun you can have doing a 5k, and it all benefits a charitable organization in the area. For Wichita Falls, Habitat for Humanity was the benefactor of the race.

Approximately 3,000 runners turned out for the event, and as you can see in the photos, people were having a great time. Now if I could just get all of the color washed off my arms…
