Tip Leads To Investigation At Area Park

The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, Wichita Falls Police and the FBI are investigating a report of a possible body buried at Burnett Park on FM 368.  Officials received a tip yesterday and conducted an investigation late yesterday afternoon and into the evening hours.

The investigation resumed early this morning.  Though no official confirmation has been announced, the Times Record News is reporting that a body has been discovered, but the remains cannot be identified No information on the source of the tip has been released.  Area residents say the park has fallen in to disrepair in recent years and has been the scene of some suspicious activity from time to time.
