In the midst of Typhoon Soudelor, which hit Taiwan this weekend, dash-cam footage has caught the effects of a tornado first hand.

Estimates for Typhoon Soudelor placed the winds at roughly 125 mph, which is equal to a category 3 hurricane.  Footage from the storm released today shows a tornado forming and passing directly in front of the car taking the footage.  According to the description, the white vehicle in front of the camera was thrown 30 meters, and a motorist on a motorcycle was also thrown.

According to CNN, 16 cities and countries are expected to experience effects from the typhoon, with 82,000 homes currently without power.  A seven-year-old girl and her mother were killed when the storm hit and washed them out to sea.  The girl's twin sister is still missing.
