The Wichita Falls ISD board has reached a decision on a new superintendent.  The following statement is from the districts website:

WFISD Board members named Dr. John W. Frossard the lone finalist for the district’s superintendent position. Frossard currently serves in the dual role as Assistant Superintendent/Chief Human Resources Officer for Fort Bend Independent School District in Sugar Land, Texas. Fort Bend, located near Houston, is the seventh largest school district in Texas with over 69,000 students and 74 schools. The announcement, made today during a special session, begins a 21-day period required by Texas law before the Board can officially hire a candidate.

The districts most recent superintendent, Dr. George Kazanas, left the district after three years to take a position with Midway ISD near his hometown of Waco.  Board members will now have to negotiate salary terms with Frossard.  Kazanas earned around $170,000 annually as superintendent.
