Wichita County Fugitive Arrested in Smith County

A Wichita Falls woman wanted a charge of forgery has been taken into custody in Greshem by Smith County Sheriff’s Deputies. The Tyler Morning Telegraph reports that 32 year-old Amber Scherff was arrested without incident at the Half Moon Bar and Grill.
Scherff was working at the bar and an unknown individual tipped off authorities in Smith County of her whereabouts. Gresham is just south of Tyler. Scherff is being held in the Smith County Jail and will likely be returned to Wichita County on Monday.
