On August 28th, Harris County Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth was brutally murdered by Shannon Miles, in what authorities across the state have called a cold-blooded assassination.

Today, all across the state, law enforcement agencies and communities came together to pay a special tribute to Deputy Goforth. Officers turned on their emergency lights for a moment of silence at 11:00 AM, the moment Deputy Goforth's funeral services were set to begin at Second Baptist Church in Houston.
