According to the Times Record News, 49-year-old Betty Marlene Hopper was arrested after throwing a ceramic dish at her common-law husband and hit him in the forehead. Apparently the scuffle resulted after a dispute over what Hopper was cooking for breakfast.

Reportedly, Hopper had woke up Sunday morning and started making omelets in her house in the 600 block of Fillmore Street. Her daughter didn't want omelets and wanted pancakes instead. The two started argueing.

Hopper's husband left sometime during the argument to go to church. When he returned he found Hopper packing up his belongings. More arguments ensued and that's when the plate was allegedly thrown. She was arrested for one count of assault family violence and as of Monday morning was still being held in Wichita County jail with no bond amount listed.

It's unknown at this time if the victim was more partial to pancakes or omelets for his breakfast.
