Woman and 2-Year-Old Grandson Found Slain Near Huntsville, Texas

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a woman and her 2-year-old grandson have been found slain in a rural Central Texas home.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says no one has been arrested over the killings near Huntsville. The Walker County Sheriff's Office on Thursday didn't immediately update the investigation.

Deputies on Wednesday afternoon responded to an emergency call about two bodies in a residence. DPS says the woman's husband called 911. Investigators have not provided further details on how the bodies were found or possible causes of death.

Names of the victims weren't immediately released.

Huntsville is about 60 miles north of Houston.
