Landman Casting Call as Filming Begins in North Texas
The Landman TV show is coming to film some of its scenes here, and they’re looking for extras. But not just anyone. They specifically asked for people who are 75 years old or older. And if you get picked, you would earn $200 for just one day of filming. There are several roles for extras coming up soon in Jacksboro, Fort Worth, and several other areas around North Texas. You can check out all of the upcoming opportunities here.
Landman is a show created by Taylor Sheridan, the same guy behind hits like Yellowstone and 1883. This new series is all about the oil boom and how it affects people’s lives in Texas. Since it’s about real-life places and people, the creators want their cast to look as real as possible. That means including older adults who have lived through much of Texas history.
Landman Now Filming in North Texas with Extras Needed
Even though extras usually don’t have speaking roles, their presence makes a big difference. Extras help make scenes feel natural, like you're really there. Having older people in the background shows that the town or area isn’t just filled with young faces, but has real depth and life to it.

Filming is set to happen over the next few weeks. They haven’t announced exactly when or where the scenes with senior extras will be filmed yet. But for a lucky few, it’ll be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of Hollywood magic without even having to leave home.
