When someone mentions Texas, there's a whole host of things that come to mind, and they're as diverse as the state itself.

Recently, someone posed this question in an ASKREDDIT, and the answers might surprise you.

Sandy Cheeks

The top-voted answer was "Sandy Cheeks." I was assuming this was a reference to or awesome beaches. I couldn't be more wrong. Sandy Cheeks is a fictional character in the American animated comedy television series SpongeBob SquarePantsShe is a proud Texan and speaks in a stereotypical Southern drawl.

Steers and What Now?

The second most upvoted answer was a certain line from Full Metal Jacket, which I am not entirely sure is still kosher to quote. You can watch the video below if you aren't aware of the scene.

Barbecue Bliss

Finally, an answer I was expecting at number three was BBQ. Whether you prefer brisket, ribs, or pulled pork, Texas has a joint that'll make your mouth water just thinking about it. It's not just food; it's an art form here!

King of the Hill

Yes! "King of the Hill" is an American animated television series that originally aired on the Fox network from 1997 to 2010. Mike Judge and Greg Daniels created the show. It is often classified as a sitcom or a slice-of-life animated series and is known for its dry humor and realistic portrayal of middle-class life in suburban Texas. And we got a reboot!

Buc-ee's

The last entry on our list is Buc-ees, and I have a very unpopular opinion on this one. I cannot stand that place for one reason: It's too damn crowded.
