It was back in February we first reported that CVS Pharmacy would be closing around 270 stores throughout the country. Wichita Falls is currently home to three CVS stores, which it looks like that number will be going down to two starting in May. The good news is that employees at this location have been offered comparable roles within CVS. So no one has been fired. However, if you use this location for prescriptions. They're being transferred to the CVS at 3601 Jacksboro Highway. If you would prefer the other Wichita Falls CVS at 4600 Southwest Parkway. You can arrange to have them sent there instead. CVS told Times Record News anyone expecting prescriptions will have no issue with this store closing.
Why Are CVS Pharmacy's Closing Throughout the Country?
When CVS announced they were closing 270 locations. They announced the issue with these stores as overlap within the different markets. CVS said that any of the 270 stores closing would not affect anyone still being within ten miles of a CVS. They will still have over 9,000 locations across America alone after all these closings.
A new thing for CVS is taking over the Pharmacy within Target. Although nothing has been announced for our Wichita Falls Target. Many Target locations across Texas use CVS as their pharmacy name.
