A recent study confirmed what those of us from North Texas have known all along.

I grew up here in North Texas in a little ol’ town by the name of Vernon, where, like every other small town or big city in Texas, football is king. And ever since I was a little boy, the Dallas Cowboys are on the TV every single time they take the field.

Now, it goes without saying that the vast majority of us here in this neck of the woods are Cowboy fans. But one thing I think that gets overlooked is that we tend to be very supportive of all our sports teams in North Texas.

Here’s a great example of just how much we support our teams. Even though the Rangers have been historically bad over the last two seasons, they still ranked 18th in attendance in 2022, according to ESPN.

And when it comes to the two other major professional teams, the Stars ranked 7th in attendance during the 2021-2022 season and the Mavs are currently leading the NBA in attendance.

Anyway, WalletHub recently conducted a study to determine the best sports cities in the U.S. and what do you know, Dallas was the only Texas city in the Top 10, coming in at Number 5 on the list.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Houston and San Antonio.
