
Wichita Falls, Texas to Host First Ever Navy Week in Town
That's not a typo, the Navy will be hosting an event in Wichita Falls of all places.
What is Navy Week?
Since 2005, the Navy Week program has served as the Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the nation without a significant Navy presence, with over 300 Navy Weeks held in 95 different U.S. cities. The program is designed to share with Americans how their Navy is deployed around the world and around the clock, and why a strong Navy is vital to protecting the American way of life.
When is Navy Week in Wichita Falls?
September 15-21 and Wichita Falls is the only city in Texas having a Navy Week in 2025.

- Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nov. 10-16
What Will Happen During Navy Week?
Although an official schedule for Wichita Falls has yet to be announced yet, in year's past they have had the flight demonstration squadron Blue Angels, the Navy Parachute Team, Navy divers, Navy recruiting, namesake ship and submarine crews, hometown sailors, medical personnel, Navy environmental personnel, and USS Constitution sailors and equipment.
This will also bring free live music from the U.S. Navy Band and performances by the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard. Around 50-100 sailors will also being doing community events throughout Wichita Falls during this time. You can stay up to date on Navy week in Wichita Falls on the Navy Outreach website.
