It was pretty crazy during the NFL kickoff weekend we found out that Kendrick Lamar was the halftime performer for this year's Super Bowl. In recent weeks, more announcements have come out about the performance and what may possibly go down.
SZA Announced She Will Be a Part of the Halftime Show
During the NFL playoffs, SZA confirmed she will be performing with Kendrick. Which is not shocking, the two have worked together on seven songs in total. Probably the best bet for songs featuring both artists is "All the Stars" which was very popular after the 'Black Panther' movie came out and 'Luther' which is off of Kendrick's latest album. Looks like the Southern Texas University marching band thinks that 'Luther' will be performed on Sunday, so they covered it this week.

The Southern Texas Marching Band is known as "The Ocean of Soul" and has actually performed at a Super Bowl before. Could we be seeing them on Sunday? We will have to wait and see. However, they opened up what maybe the most remembered Super Bowl Halftime Show of all time.

Yes, that Super Bowl halftime where Justin Timberlake ripped off Janet Jackson's top for a 'Wardrobe Malfunction' in front of millions. If you watch the beginning of that Super Bowl halftime, you can see The Ocean of Soul opening things up with the University of Houston marching band.
Texas Southern Also Played With Beyonce' This Year
If the Ocean of Soul does not play at the Super Bowl. They already have NFL postseason experience this year. They performed with Beyonce' during her halftime performance during the Houston Texans playoff game just a few weeks ago.
