Future Vets Wanted: Don’t Miss This Fun Summer Camp at Texas Tech

The best thing about summer in Amarillo is the number of summer camps available for the kids.  You can find a camp for almost any interest your child may have.

If you have a child who loves animals and they aspire to be a veterinarian, then you want to sign them up for this one-of-a-kind camp at the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.

The Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine in Amarillo officially opened in Amarillo in the fall of 2021.  Since its opening, this school has been teaching future vets the techniques they will need to take care of small and large animals.

What Kids Will Learn at Texas Tech Vet Camp

The TTUSVM is hosting two different camps in July for future vets.  These kids will learn about what veterinarians do on a daily basis and some of the skills they will one day need to know if they pursue an education in veterinary medicine.

How to Register for Texas Tech Vet Camp

The Texas Tech Vet Science Skills and Clinical Camp for ages 8 - 10 years will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Check-in begins at 8:30 am, with camp running from 9 am to 4 pm

The Texas Tech Vet Science Skills and Clinical Camp for ages 13-18 years will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Check-in begins at 8:30 am, with camp running from 9 am to 4 pm

The deadline to register for either camp is July 16th.
