Famous Diner With 200 Texas Locations Now Closing 150 Restaurants
Texas, by no surprise as the second largest state by population and also total land area, is often looked at much more closely by a business that is expanding across the country, and it is not surprising to learn that we end up with a whole lot more locations of a growing company than most of the other states. This information holds true for "America's Diner" Denny's as the state it originated from is California (which is the only state with a population greater than Texas), so aside from its home state, Texas has the most locations of any other in the United States of America.

What once began as a coffee shop has truly become one of the great comforts for Americans to go out and enjoy a pleasurable breakfast experience.
According to this Duke website, Texas currently has 195 Denny's locations, and by the time this year is over more than a few may be gone forever. Denny's plans will shutter about 50% of the 150 total stores this year, and the other 50% will be shut down by the end of next year.

There is good news, even if all 150 restaurants that are closing in the next year were in Texas, we'd still have about 50 to choose from. Hopefully the fact that the Texas economy has held up much stronger than most of the rest of the country for the past few years will keep the Lone Star State from sharing in a large portion of the closings.

Hopefully Texas is not hit too badly by the closings because that would just mean my three kids would need for me to drive a little bit further because there is no way they are giving up their favorite breakfast spot.
