Fall season is here in El Paso! (Even though the weather says otherwise.) With Fall comes spooky seasons, pumpkin spice everything, cooler weather, AND Apple Festivals!!

If you love apple pie as much as I do then pack up the family, grab your flannel, because apple season is officially here! From now through the end of October, New Mexico’s U-Pick orchards are basically the Hallmark movie set of your fall dreams, and the best part? They’re just a short drive from El Paso.

2025 Nichols Ranch Apple festival

Nichols Ranch and Orchards near Alamogordo, began their annual Apple Festival back in 2021 and they are back this year for a festival that promises to be bigger and better! Families are invited to join the Second Annual Apple Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 4–5. Think crisp mountain air, sweeping Sacramento Mountain views, and rows upon rows of fresh apples just waiting to be picked.

And because no apple festival is complete without snacks, expect all the drool-worthy goodies: apple pies, turnovers, cider (hot or cold), plus plenty of raw apples to take home.
