It seems that with the increase in businesses downtown there has also been an increase in pedestrian traffic, and all of those feet need to cross the streets from time to time. Rather than just add in the normal, run of the mill crosswalk markings, Downtown Wichita Falls Development looked at what other cities have done and decided to try something a bit more artistic.
All you have to do is put on some closed toed shoes, pull on your favorite pair of work gloves, grab a rake or a broom and meet everyone else at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market at 8th and Ohio.
This year’s event is on Indiana Avenue between 9th and 10th streets and you’re sure to find some new one-of-a-kind artistic creation that you just can’t live without and lineup of performers this year includes everything from theatre groups to rock bands.
From squishy toys to tipsy leprechauns, from an impromptu bar mitzvah to some absolutely amazing live music and great times with great friends, Saturday night's St Patrick's Day Street Festival was a blast.
