The development of the Morningside Historic District, encompassing 38.4 acres, began in 1918-19 and was essentially completed by the end of 1928. The district is characterized by virtually all the prominent early 20th century architectural styles, ranging from Bungalow, Tudor Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, Colonial Revival, and American Foursquare. The winding street system, large deep set yards, a scenic pond and Morningside Park define this small neighborhood.
