1951 — New York Yankees’ pitcher Allie Reynolds no-hit the Cleveland Indians, and their ace Bob Feller, 1-0, at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland. (More info.)

1979 — The Chicago White Sox held “Disco Demolition Night” at Comiskey Park, as fans were allowed to destroy disco records on the field between games of a doubleheader with Detroit.
