In 1992, the United States’ “Dream Team” made a big statement when they went into Barcelona and dominated in basketball. They blew out Croatia in the gold medal game, and it cemented their legacy in sports history, forever. But is this men’s basketball team the greatest collection of athletes ever?

While the Dream Team dominated, the USA had many other teams that came together to do big things. The 1980 men’s ice hockey team beat the odds to become winter Olympic legends. The 1985 Chicago Bears had some of the best players in the NFL at that time, and lets not forget about the ’72 Dolphins who finished the season undefeated. In baseball, the 1927 Yankees had one of the greatest seasons in history going 110-44, and sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series.
