Free Comanche County Fair Features Livestock Shows, Homemade Goods, And Agriculture Competitions
Summer is winding down in Lawton. Spirit Halloween has opened. The city's aquatic facilities are preparing to close. School is starting soon. And the next true marker of fall is the annual Comanche County Fair set for Sept. 8-12 at the Comanche County Fairgrounds in Lawton.
County fairs are a celebration of local agriculture, and the Comanche County Fair does just that with days filled with livestock shows, homemade goods contests, agriculture exhibits and more. The fair will feature competitors from across Comanche County, including various local 4H and FFA organizations.
The Comanche County Fair is free and open to the public.
The Comanche County Fair isn't just for competitors or participants. Anyone can visit the Comanche County Fair to watch a livestock show or see the counties blue ribbon winners for homemade goods or crafts at the exhibits.
County fairs are a great activity for families, and it's one of the best ways to teach kids about local agriculture.
